Former NFL quarterback and broadcaster Mark Sanchez has filed a motion to plead guilty in the case connected to an altercation in downtown Indianapolis last October in which he was stabbed, according to online court records.

Sanchez filed the motion Thursday in Marion County (Ind.) Superior Court. The motion also requested a sentencing hearing. He was charged with unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, public intoxication endangering the life of another and two counts of battery resulting in bodily injury.

A jury trial was scheduled to begin Sept. 8.
